Your brand’s website is the first point of interaction potential customers will have with your company. Are you sure you’re making a good first impression?
As the saying goes, you only have one chance to make a good first impression. So if you answered “no”, then it’s about time to reevaluate your company’s approach to digital marketing.
With endless mountains of work cluttering your desk, afternoons full of Zoom meetings, and no real idea of where to begin overhauling your site, maintaining your website can seem like an overwhelmingly daunting task. After all, with the constant demands of keeping up with your workload, it can be time consuming, expensive, and takes you away from valuable time with your clients.

At what point do you need to take a step back and spend some time investing in your company’s online presence?
The fact of the matter is that investing a little time in building upon your brand’s website, it will come back to benefit your company many times over. Being a creative branding agency, part of our day-to-day operation is evaluating and offering critiques on how clients can use their web presence to put them in the best possible position for success. Recently, we took a step back and asked ourselves the same question we ask many of our clients – “are we doing everything we can to put our best foot forward in terms of our online presence?”. We quickly realized that the main reason why our site wasn’t up to our own standards was because of time.
We decided it was finally time to set a fire under ourselves and approach our own website evaluation the same way we would approach a client’s. Stepping outside of your day-to-day operation and looking at your company objectively is a great practice to get into. Perspective is an interesting phenomenon, and a fresh perspective can be the perfect way to be able to view your company with the necessary eye of objectivity.
Following our evaluation, the next step in our website overhaul process was to outline objectives. We broke down the main objectives into a few categories – brand goals, creative direction, overall structure, and our own marketing/social media strategy. Every company has a story, and we realized that we had to do a better job at telling our story to make a lasting impression. When your aim is to create something truly memorable, you need to put in your due diligence to give purpose to every decision – and we can help!
By overhauling our own website, we have a destination that accurately represents who we are and what we do. We made excuses for too long, and it is finally time for us to make the right impression and start seeing positive returns on our investment. Besides, it feels great to design and build things for yourself without any client feedback or critiques once in a while! We feel awesome about the Spark Creative brand and website, and invite you to check things out and see for yourself.
